I’m a midwestern girl from Kansas City. During high school, after volunteering with a dentist for a couple of summers, I had been accepted to the reserved admission program at UMKC School of Dentistry. I moved to St. Louis to attend Washington University for college. After completing dental school at UMKC, I completed a General Practice Residency at LSU and stayed for a second year as Chief Resident and took full advantage of southern living and the New Orleans food scene. Having my sights set on becoming an Endodontist, I applied and was admitted to Temple University in Philadelphia. At Temple University, I completed my training in root canals, retreatments, root-end surgery and was named Chief Resident during my second year. Though I loved Philly for its architecture and food scene, I moved to Austin, Texas after completing my residency. Austin quickly became home. I have been practicing Endodontics in Austin, Texas since 2017. While working, I also decided I still wanted to learn more and try to be able to do more to impact dentistry and public health. I completed a Masters in Public Health through the UNC Gillings School of Public Health. Currently, I have been interning at the Texas Health Institute and hope to continue this journey. I’m also volunteer around the Austin community through Junior League of Austin and am a member of the Austin chapter of Women Leaders. Outside of dentistry and public health, my passions are art/painting, mindfulness/meditation, and dogs.
